Jimmy Stubbs is the Chief Executive Officer of River Bank & Trust and serves on the Board of Directors. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Auburn University in 1985 and a Master of Business Administration degree from Troy University in 2005. Active in community affairs, Jimmy currently serves on a number of business and non profit boards including the Alabama Bankers Association, Montgomery Area Committee for the Arts, the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce, the River Region United Way, and the YMCA of Montgomery Endowment Foundation. Jimmy is a member of Leadership Alabama, Class of 2007, and the Wetumpka Lions Club.
Ray Smith is the President of River Bank & Trust and serves on the Board of Directors. He attended Gadsden State Community College and the Banking School of the South at Louisiana State University. He is the Past Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce in Gadsden, Past President of the Gadsden/Etowah Industrial Development Board, Past President of the United Way of Etowah County, and Past Captain of the Gadsden Quarterback Club. He is a member of Gadsden First United Methodist Church where he has served as Chairman of the Board of Stewards, Chairman of the Board of Trustees and is currently serving as Chairman of the Finance Committee.
Jim Bevis began his community banking career in 1973 and has since worked in many different roles. In 2016, he joined River Bank & Trust and now serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Risk Officer where he continues to focus on relationship based, service driven banking. Jim is a graduate of Jacksonville State University having received his Bachelor of Science degree in Management and Finance.
After graduating from the University of Alabama in 1987, Gene Crane returned to Montgomery to begin his 26 year banking career. In 2011, he joined River Bank & Trust as an Executive Vice President and Business Banking Manager. Gene leads the bank’s development of commercial and business banking clients. He is involved in many community organizations including the River Region United Way, the Alabama National Fair, the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, the YMCA of Montgomery, and the Kiwanis Club of Montgomery.
Ken Givens began his career in community bank accounting and financial management in 1974 and now serves as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of River Bank & Trust. Ken attended Troy State University and is a graduate of the Alabama Banking School at the University of South Alabama and the Graduate School of Bank Administration at the University of Wisconsin. He has served as an instructor at the Alabama Banking School since 1998.
Polly Hardegree has been in the banking industry since 1973. She is a charter member of River Bank & Trust’s executive team, helping organize the bank’s beginnings in 2005. She is currently Executive Vice President of Wealth Management and Retail Banking. Polly has been active in community affairs for over 30 years. She currently serves on the boards of Baptist Healthcare Foundation, Capital City Club, and the Montgomery
Museum of Fine Arts. Polly attended Alabama Banking School and received a diploma from The University of South Alabama in 1990.
Boles Pegues, lll is an Executive Vice President and Board Director of River Bank & Trust. He has been in banking for the past 30 years. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Auburn University and is a graduate of Louisiana State University School of Banking. He is currently serving on the Auburn University School of Agricultural Alumni Board of Directors. Boles is involved in the mentorship programs in the Auburn University School of Business and Auburn University School of Agricultural. His community involvement includes being the past President and Director for Lee County Habitat for Humanity and Storybook Farm of Opelika. Presently, Boles is a Director for Kiwanis of Opelika.
Karen Pugh began her banking career 25 years ago, working after school at a small community bank. During her career, she has experienced working in almost every area of banking. Karen currently serves as an Executive Vice President, Chief Operations Officer, and River Bank & Trust’s Bank Secrecy Act Officer. Karen received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Troy University and regularly attends classes and seminars held by the Alabama Banker’s Association and other similar organizations.
In 2008, Joel Winslett joined River Bank & Trust and currently serves as an Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer. In his position, Joel oversees credit administration and the bank’s loan portfolio. He has been in the banking industry for more than 20 years. Joel is a member of the Montgomery Rotary Club and has been a coach for a local youth softball team. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Auburn University at Montgomery.
