ABA Welcomes New Chairman,
Jimmy Stubbs
The Alabama Bankers Association welcomed the new chairman of its board of directors, Jimmy Stubbs, during its board meeting held in June. Stubbs is a founding director and the CEO of River Bank & Trust, headquartered in Prattville.
“Jimmy is a big believer in all things community is and is well-prepared to serve as ABA chairman,” ABA President and CEO Scott Latham said. “He is a broad thinker, a visionary, and the ideal choice to lead the association through these unprecedented times. We look forward to his leadership and our work together in the coming year.”
Stubbs serves as a board member of the Montgomery Area Committee of 100, the Montgomery Area Committee for the Arts, the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce, and the YMCA of Montgomery Endowment Foundation. He is a member of Leadership Alabama (Class of 2007), the Tocqueville Society of the River Region United Way, and the Wetumpka Lions Club. A product of the Elmore County Public School System, Jimmy graduated from Wetumpka High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from Auburn University and an executive MBA from Troy University. He also completed the Alabama Banking School at the University of South Alabama, the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University, and the Professional Masters of Banking at the Executive Banking Institute in Austin, Texas. Stubbs and his wife, Lisa, have three children and two grandchildren.
