Dr. David Thrasher

Dr. David Thrasher is a partner with Montgomery Pulmonary Consultants, where he previously practiced Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. He also serves as an Associate Professor with the UAB Heersink School of Medicine. A dedicated civic and community leader, Dr. Thrasher has been actively involved with numerous organizations across Alabama, including the Montgomery Chamber of Commerce, River Region United Way, Boys & Girls Clubs, Leadership Alabama, Child Protect, the Alabama Sheriffs Boys and Girls Ranches, the Alabama Department of Conservation Foundation, and the Tukabatchee Area Council of the Boy Scouts of America. He currently serves on the Alabama State Board of Health, the Board of Directors for Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine, and the Board of Trustees for Jackson Hospital. Dr. Thrasher earned both Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from Auburn University and is a graduate of the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Medicine. In recognition of his leadership and service during the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Thrasher was honored by Kay Ivey and the Alabama Legislature with a proclamation recognizing his “Exceptional and Meritorious Service to the Citizens of Alabama During the COVID-19 Pandemic.”
