Rebecca Hallman Named 2026 American Bankers Association Emerging Leader

Prattville, AL, October 27, 2026: River Bank & Trust Chief Executive Officer Jimmy Stubbs is pleased to announce that Rebecca “Becky” Hallman, Executive Vice President and Human Resources Director, has received the American Bankers Association’s 2026 Emerging Leader Award. The award recognizes bank leaders for their achievements and service to the banking industry and their communities. Recipients were selected from nominations across the country through a multi-round review by banking industry professionals. Selection criteria included leadership, mentoring, innovation, and commitment to the banking profession. Hallman is one of only 11 recipients nationwide and the only recipient from Alabama.

“Becky understands that our people are at the heart of our success,” says Stubbs. “She has helped shape what we call ‘The River Bank Way’ and has invested in the growth of our team. Her leadership and commitment to excellence make her deserving of this award.”

Hallman joined River Bank & Trust in 2006 and has more than 20 years of banking experience. As a member of the bank’s executive leadership team, she leads human resources, training, and organizational development. She also serves on the Alabama Bankers Association's Women in Leadership Committee and supports the development of future bankers. Hallman earned a bachelor’s degree in banking and finance from Troy University Montgomery, completed the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University, and holds a Professional Certificate in Human Resources from Auburn University at Montgomery. She and her husband, Stan, have three children, Ford, Sophie and Bella, and live on their family cattle farm in Autaugaville.

“I’ve been fortunate to grow my career alongside the River Bank & Trust family,” says Hallman. “Helping our team members develop and succeed is one of the most rewarding parts of my work, and I’m honored by this recognition.”
